Beside the private events we hold at Hinzerling
winery, there are a number of other events we participate in throughout
the year:
Red
Wine and Chocolate
Each year, on President's Day Weekend, member
wineries
of the Yakima Valley Wine Growers Association present free samples of
Chocolate
concoctions along with their red wines. If you've never had a chance to
try these taste sensations, this is a great way to do it. What better
combination?
For a free map and guide to Wine Country, call 1-800-258-7270.
Pre-Barrel Tasting
The weekend before
regular barrel tasting- we and a couple of other wineries do the same
thing-
and usually a little more- as Spring Barrel Tasting. If crowds ain't
your
bag- then this might be.
Spring
Barrel Tasting
Spring Barrel Tasting is on the last full weekend
in
April. Most, but not all member wineries of the Yakima Valley Wine
Growers
Association participate in the event. When you come to our winery you
can
taste not only our regularly served wines, but you can also taste two
wines
straight from the barrel. This event goes from Friday thru Sunday from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some Hints for enjoying
Barrel
tasting : Make your reservations very early. Friday is the best day to
go- take the day off. Start in the middle of the valley and work your
way
to an end-you'll miss the biggest crowds Come to Pre-barrel
tasting
the Saturday before and get the same thing without the crowds. Call
1-800-258-7270
for a free guide.
