Hinzerling Cigar Dinners
Twice each year
, February and September, we combine the pleasures of wine with the pleasures
of eating, and fine cigars in a Cigar Dinner. What
happens at such an event? We start the evening off by lighting the
smoking lamp and enjoying a premium cigar with samples of our dry cocktail
sherry, when available, light
hors d' oeuvres and convivial
conversation.
We
extinguish the lamp and get right to a triglycerides and cholesterol enhancing
meal complete with appropriate libations- this is usually a lamb/pork/beef
barbecue. We follow the main course with salad, then dessert and
then a cheese port and cigar course. We'll supply you with premium
cigars- you can smoke 'em or take 'em home- a mini-course in cigar etiquette
(not an oxymoron- non smokers) if you're new to premium cigars.
I think you'll have to search far
and wide for a better way to relax and fritter away an evening. Our next
scheduled dinner is Saturday, Sept. 14 and the winter event is President's
weekend.
