The Vintner's Inn

Dining and lodging in the heart of Wine Country

A winner of the 2003 Wine Select Restaurant Award
The Vintner's Inn is in a historic Prosser home that was to be torn down and made into a parking lot. We purchased the house from Benton County in August of 2000 and moved it to its present location next to the winery in January of 2001. We've been remodeling ever since, and, after applying several suitcases full of money, have opened to serve the public. We're located in Prosser, WA in the center of the Yakima Valley convenient to wineries, micro breweries, restaurants, and many tourist attractions.
Bed and Breakfast                                         Restaurant
Winery                                              Special Packages                                  Rates and Reservations

Our restaurant is open for  occasional Special Dining  Events Dining by  reservation only .   We think you'll find our restaurant interesting and somewhat  unique- here's the way things work:

First, seating is boarding house style- i.e. we seat most guests at large tables-  so, you may well be dining with some folks you've never met before. We have found that most people that visit wineries are adventuresome types and find this a lot of fun, however, if  you are more of an introverted type and would feel uncomfortable in this setting, you may wish to dine elsewhere.

Second, our special event menu is fixe prixe, that is a set* seasonal, six course menu with a fixed price- Click here for a sample menu  or call us at 1-800-727-6702 for the event schedule and menu   You'll find our dishes very flavorful as we use the freshest of local produce, herbs, and ingredients, much directly from our garden- if you're looking for a surf & turf style place, we ain't it. Call or subscribe to our e-mail newsletter for a schedule of dinners.

*Please note that although the menu is fixed,  we can accommodate vegetarian and other dietary restrictions with ample advance notice.

Third, sometimes, our food is  served family style on large platters and you and your fellow diners may  be passing plates and platters.

Fourth,  Your meal price usually includes a glass  wine with  hors d'oeuvres, an entree wine'  and a small glass of dessert wine.

Fifth,- while we are a non-smoking establishment, we do encourage those so inclined to light up a post-prandial cigar on the porch or under our arbor, weather and constitution permitting-  maybe accompanied by one of our award winning ports -if you so desire- we'll even sell you a stogie and try to join you! There are sort of two exceptions to this rule and that is for are Fall and Winter Cigar Dinners- see our events calendar for further details.

Sixth - Reservations may be secured with and may be charged to your  VISA, MasterCharge, or Discovercard and are not cancelable without 48 hour advance notice.  With less than 48 hours notice, we will try to fill your reservation and refund your charges- subject to a 20% cancellation fee. If we are unable to do so, you will be charged the full amount.
